The main thing of the latest WhatsApp update is the expansion of group voice calls. In 2020, the developers allowed eight participants to join conversations instead of four. According to the changelog, this figure has been increased to 32 persons. You can get this feature now; just update the app to the latest version.

Along with extensive group calling capabilities, you get an updated interface with a convenient social audio layout, waveforms, and speaker highlights. Pop-up windows have also been redesigned, and access to files in the device gallery has been improved. Active WhatsApp users will definitely welcome all these changes. However, we recall that the main competitor of this service, Telegram, has no restrictions on the number of participants at all. Perhaps the WhatsApp developers will someday come to such a result.

Also, the WABetaInfo resource shared its findings from the beta version ( Users will reportedly be able to select individual recipients when they want to send media files to someone in a group chat. Currently, it can only be done for all group members. You can also choose the audience for which your status will be displayed. These updates are only available to selected beta testers.

Also, WABetaInfo has found that the Android version may receive an improvement in the design of a location sticker. It will be done as part of adding the ability to use Android APIs with a messenger and creating location-based stickers. At the moment, the developers are still working on it, and it is not yet available to beta testers.

Additionally, Android owners will get more emojis for reacting to messages. Those with iOS devices will be able to save disappearing messages and manually block this feature and get enhanced privacy options. All of these features are under development and testing, but which one would you like to try out first?
