According to a recent WABetainfo report, the WhatsApp developers are working on implementing a new feature. With it, you will be able to filter all messages in chats by the date they were sent. So far, there is no exact information about its launch, but this is definitely one of the most anticipated innovations.

WABetainfo regularly monitors and informs users about the work of WhatsApp developers and planned updates. According to the latest information, a feature is being tested for the iOS app that will allow users to select the date of correspondence they are interested in and, thus, find the necessary messages quickly. The WABetainfo screenshots show that an additional icon will be added to the typing field, after clicking on which you will get a calendar wheel with a choice of day, month, and year. So far, you have a complete collection of messages where you can only search for information manually.

All this is still preliminary data; since this functionality is under development, even beta testers do not have access to it. We believe that introducing this extremely convenient tool will have to wait. It is known that the developers started working on it two years ago. However, for some reason, its release for mass use was postponed indefinitely. It remains unknown exactly when this feature will be transferred to beta testing.

By the way, the opportunity to filter messages by date attracted the attention of WABetainfo specialists after the application for Apple devices received a beta version of the patch. No official information has yet been received in this regard. The developers returned to work on the described function after update, which “broke” the mute duration due to a small bug.

Do you find the tool to filter messages by date sent useful? Do you currently need such a feature?
